Habitat for Humanity fundraiser: Over the Edge, Spokane, Washington, May 14, 2022
Ladies and gentlemen:
Ever since I was a little girl, all I ever wanted was my own house. My own space, my own yard, my own walls to paint and decorate at will, my own windows to stare out of, and my own sanctuary. Today, I am incredibly fortunate to say I have that, and now it is time for me to try to give back, hopefully pay forward some of what has been given to me.
I personally know of friends and family who want that same thing- affordable housing, and due to various circumstances, both individually and collectively, on a local and global scale, are unable to achieve that. I know that feeling, how disappointing and frustrating it can be. A lot of people are in that place right now. I was told of this fundraiser, and despite my terror of heights, there was no second thought to wanting to do this.
I’m raising money for a great cause, and participating in an event that will send me over the edge of the Bank of America building here in downtown Spokane. Yep, you read that right! I will be rappelling off the side of a 288-foot tall building, dangling from some ropes, probably having a little bit of a meltdown. It will be live streamed.
So, my friends and family, give a little bit to a wonderful cause, and tune in to my Facebook page, or show up downtown on Saturday, May 14, 2022. You can either click on the link, or go to events.habitat-spokane.org/site/TR?fr_id=1060&pg=entry and search my name.
